Shane Lowry and Joe Lacava got into a chirping match on the green at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club during the 2023 Ryder Cup. Lacava was celebrating on behalf of his player, Patrick Cantlay, after a testy day on the course and lots of fun made of Cantlay’s then-rumored demands to be paid to wear the USA team hat. Lowry and Rory McIlroy warned Lacava to get out of the way of the ongoing match. Things devolved from there.
